Shipping Charges

We recommend that where possible seeds and Tubers are collected from the Farm.

Canada has the most expensive postal system in the world, which unfortunately is reflected in the prices below.

Postage Charges

Bus or Courier

If you want items sent via bus or courier, we will pack the items, get the cost, and notify you for confirmation and payment prior to shipping.

Taxes

Customers who are residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and the Territories pay only 5% GST.

Only customers from British Columbia, Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario pay HST.

Customers from British Columbia pay 12% HST, customers from Newfoundland & Labrador and New Brunswick pay 13% HST and customers from Nova Scotia pay 15% HST.

P.E.I. residents pay 5% GST and 10% PST.

GST or HST is payable on all items except zero rated items (see below).

GST/HST is also payable on shipping and handling charges.

Zero Rated Items:

Revenue Canada does not require GST / HST on large quantities of vegetable seeds. The following is the definition of the items deemed Zero Rated (i.e. no GST / HST).

Peas, beans and corn only in sizes over 5 kg and / or count sizes greater than 20,000 seeds.

Small seeds (vegetable seeds other than peas, beans and corn) in sizes over 125 g and/or count sizes greater than 2500 seeds.

Potatoes and Sweet Potato Slips are also Zero Rated. (i.e. no GST/HST)
