Lip Balm
After years of buying other peoples lip balm, filled with unknown ingredients that
we can neither pronounce nor spell - we decided to start making lip balms for our
own family, and take it back to basic natural ingredients that we understood and
trusted.
That’s how we started - and that’s how we will continue. The ingredients are simple
and the basic mix is the same in all varieties that we sell:
- Bees wax from hives on Mad Dog Farm, extracted by solar power to ensure all the goodness
is maintained.
- Honey from the hives on Mad Dog Farm, cold extracted and filtered to ensure that
all the natural essential oils and other healing chemicals are maintained.
- Extra virgin olive oil (No we can’t grow that)
- Organic essential oils for therapy and flavouring.
And that’s it - nothing else.

Hand Creams
Our Farmer's Hand Cream and Skin Repair Cream were developed out of sheer necessity
to heal ourselves from the abuse that we inflict upon our bodies.
The basic ingredients for both creams are beeswax, extra virgin olive oil, water,
pure essential oils and vitamin E oil - nothing else - i.e. what we know and trust
and can pronounce.
Our Farmer's Hand Cream, which we use on a regularly basis, is great for restoring
the balance of softness and moisture content. The use of Lavender essential oil
in the hand cream not only mellows out the scent of the extra virgin olive oil, but
has an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory property and hence great for the many minor
cuts and scratches that we encounter.
Our Skin Repair Cream has three essential oils, Lavender, Tea Tree and Helichrysum,
all of which have healing properties. We use this cream for blisters, bruises, rashes,
cuts and scrapes, and it has relieved the effects caused by insect bites and bee
stings.

This weekend two of our farm volunteers lost track of time in the garden and came
in for dinner with bad sunburns on their backs and shoulders. One of the gals in
particular was very burned and was very uncomfortable and so I decided to try your
Skin Repair Cream on them. I applied the cream which soaked right into their skin
and they felt immediate soothing to the burned areas. By morning the redness had
gone, the burned areas no longer looked inflamed and they felt complete relief -I
was quite amazed.
